Principia swimming turned in a strong performance in its final meet before winter break, racing John Burroughs and Lutheran North while continuing to show measurable progress across the lineup.
The Panthers came up short in the team scoring — John Burroughs 143, Principia 116, Lutheran North 17 — but delivered one of their most complete meets of the season at a demanding point in the academic calendar, with finals week nearing.
As a team, Principia recorded two first-place finishes, 16 season-best swims, six lifetime-best swims, and two improved state consideration times. Several swimmers dropped time from races contested just one week earlier, underscoring steady improvement as the season continues.
Mazie led the Panthers with three lifetime-best swims, followed by Joy with two and Savannah with one. Principia's newer swimmers also made notable strides, with each improving at least one event.
The meet served as a strong marker of progress as Principia heads into winter break, carrying momentum and confidence into the second half of the season.
