Columbia, MO — March 12, 2026 — Principia Girls Basketball capped off a remarkable season with a commanding 60–32 victory over St. Vincent to secure the Class 3 State Championship.
The Panthers controlled the game from the start, building a 17–10 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 38–19 by halftime. Principia delivered the decisive blow in the third quarter, holding St. Vincent to just three points while continuing to build its lead. From there, the Panthers maintained control through the final period to seal the title.
Principia's defensive performance set the tone throughout. The Panthers limited St. Vincent to 29.4% shooting from the field and just 14.3% from three-point range, while forcing 17 turnovers and recording 10 steals. Their ability to disrupt offensive rhythm and contest every possession proved to be the difference.
Offensively, Principia displayed balance and efficiency, shooting 46.5% from the field and knocking down 11 three-pointers. Loganne Love led the Panthers with 19 points and 6 assists, controlling the pace and facilitating the offense.
