Harold Brantley 2025

Harold Brantley

  • Title
    Assistant Football Coach (DLine)

Harold Brantley brings elite defensive experience, high effort, and a deep understanding of competitive football to the Principia football program.

As a standout at Hershey High School in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Brantley developed into one of the region’s top defensive line prospects. He was rated as a 3-star recruit and ranked among the top defensive tackles in the state and nation before committing to play at the University of Missouri.

At the University of Missouri, Brantley competed in the Southeastern Conference as a defensive lineman known for his strength, motor, and ability to make plays in critical moments. During his collegiate career, he earned AP All-SEC Honorable Mention honors in 2014 after a breakthrough season in which he recorded 54 tackles, 5 sacks, and 7 tackles for loss. He also made his presence felt on special teams and in key games, with notable performances including blocked kicks and big defensive plays that helped the Tigers in high-pressure situations.

Throughout his time at Missouri, Brantley was appreciated for his disciplined approach in the trenches and his willingness to compete against top offensive talent in the conference. His collegiate achievements reflect a player who combined physical tools with relentless effort and a team-first mindset.

As a coach at Principia, Brantley brings that same commitment to fundamentals, technique, and physical play to his work with student-athletes. He emphasizes pad level, hand placement, gap control, and effort while teaching linemen how to attack each snap with confidence and purpose. His goal is to develop a defensive front that sets the tone for the entire defense.

Aligned with Principia’s values, Coach Brantley views football as a platform for character development and leadership. He challenges his players to embrace hard work, support one another, and represent Principia with integrity and pride on and off the field.
