Coach Beisel brings a proven competitive pedigree and a detail-driven approach to coaching linebackers for Principia football, built on a foundation of standout performance from high school through major college football competition.
As a high school football standout at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Missouri, Beisel was one of the state’s top defensive talents in the class of 2013. He was ranked among the best inside linebackers in Missouri as a recruit and drew national attention for his size, instincts, and play making ability. Beisel’s performance on the field helped him earn strong recruiting rankings and multiple offers from Division I programs before he committed to the University of Missouri.
At the University of Missouri, Beisel played linebacker and contributed on special teams in the highly competitive Southeastern Conference. Across his collegiate career, he grew into an impactful defender and team leader. In 2016, Beisel appeared in all games, finishing the season with 44 tackles (35 solo), including six tackles for loss and two pass breakups. He delivered a career-high 14 tackles at South Carolina and led the Missouri defense in tackles in multiple games.
Over his time with the Tigers, Beisel was known for his physicality, football intelligence, and work ethic. He saw his role expand steadily, earning starts and key defensive reps while continuing to contribute on special teams, where his effort and situational awareness were assets to the team.
As Principia’s linebackers coach, Beisel applies the same intensity and attention to fundamentals that defined his playing days. He emphasizes tackler technique, reading offenses, pursuit angles, communication, and relentless effort on every down. His goal is to develop linebackers who compete with confidence and discipline and who understand how their role anchors both defense and special teams.
Aligned with Principia’s values, Coach Beisel uses football as a vehicle for personal growth and leadership. He challenges his players to hold themselves and one another accountable, embrace adversity, and represent Principia with pride and determination on and off the field.
Coach Beisel’s high school excellence, SEC playing experience, and passion for mentorship make him a trusted leader and a strong force in the development of Principia’s linebackers.
