Jay C. Blossom enters his tenure at Principia School as one of the most accomplished and respected high school basketball coaches in Missouri. With more than 30 years of coaching experience, Blossom brings a proven track record of sustained excellence, player development, and program building at the highest levels of the state.
Before arriving at Principia, Blossom spent two decades at Webster Groves High School, where his teams consistently competed for conference championships and state titles. His career has been defined not only by wins, but by disciplined, well-prepared teams that play with purpose and poise in high-pressure moments.
In his first season leading the Panthers, Coach Blossom delivered a historic year, guiding Principia to a school-record 25 wins and the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance. That breakthrough season firmly established Principia as a contender on the statewide stage and signaled the beginning of a new era for the program.
